Dr Natasha Hobbs-Lakin

Natasha Hobbs-Lakin was elected as Chair of the RCPsych Psychiatric Resident Doctors’ Committee (PRDC) in September 2026. Natasha was first elected to the PRDC in 2024, serving on the committee as a rep for the South West Division where she focused on improving links and representation between the College and resident doctors in rural and coastal areas. In 2024 she represented resident doctors’ views during the transition from the TrOn platform to the current MRCPsych eLearning offering on the CPD, eLearning and TrOn Advisory Board (now MRCPsych eLearning Advisory Board).

In 2025 she sat on the editorial board for the PRDC magazine ‘The Registrar’, and represented resident doctors on the RCPsych Core Resident Doctors’ Advisory Committee. Natasha worked with Professor Nandini Chakraborty and a team of resident doctors from across the UK on a project looking at ST4 application portfolio self-assessment scoring, which was presented at RCPsych International Congress 2026 and provided interim guidance for candidates on common pitfalls in self-assessment. Natasha is currently leading on a project looking at MRCPsych course provision in core training across the UK.

Clinically, Natasha is an ST4 higher resident doctor working in Bristol. She has a particular interest in functional disorders, and is currently working on a project to improve care pathways for service users with Functional Neurological Disorder in Gloucestershire. Outside of clinical and College work she enjoys rowing, knitting and spending time with her family.
