This event will take place at the Fulton Building, University of Sussex, Falmer, Brighton BN1 9RH shown in square C5 on the attached campus map.

Highlights on the one-day in person event at the University of Sussex in Brighton will encourage members to think differently about the traditional stereotypes surrounding neurodevelopmental conditions and their relevance to psychiatry and beyond.  Chaired by the Autism Champion (Dr Conor Davidson) and the ADHD Champion (Dr Ulrich Muller Sedgwick) talks will include discussion of descriptive psychopathology and relationship to phenomenology in neurodevelopmental conditions ( Dr Prem Shah).  The role of neurodevelopmental conditions will be explored beyond the brain and into the body (Dr Jessica Eccles, Dr Joanna Moss) and their relevance to perinatal psychiatry (Dr Sam Porter).  Prof Hugo Critchley will discuss how to recognise and understand the distinct and shared neurodivergent characteristics associated with chronic developmental tics.  There will be exciting discussion of how neurodevelopmental services are at a crossroads and how to innovate to be fit for the future (Rebecca Dew).   Dr Sebastian Shaw will present on the concepts surrounding neurodiversity and Ben Erin will discuss research results relating to neurodivergence and creativity.  There will be two invited panels, including a lived experience panel. 

The registration fees include refreshments and lunch.  Accommodation and/or travel costs are not included in the booking fees.  Registration has closed.
