Faculty of General Adult Psychiatry: Transforming Adult Mental Health Care - Innovation, Inclusion and Impact

Event Information

This year’s Faculty of General Adult Psychiatry Annual Conference will explore how adult mental health services can evolve to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing world. Through discussions on bipolar disorder, psychosis, ADHD, personality disorder, neighbourhood mental health care, social connection, occupational health, and artificial intelligence, delegates will examine emerging evidence, innovative models of care and practical approaches to improving outcomes for patients.

Bringing together clinicians, researchers, people with lived experience and service leaders, the conference will provide an opportunity to reflect on the future of general adult psychiatry and how we can deliver compassionate, effective and equitable care across diverse communities.

The Faculty of General Adult Psychiatry Annual Conference 2026 will be held in-person on Wednesday 7 and Thursday 8 October 2026 at The Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh (11 Queen Street, Edinburgh EH2 1JQ).

A draft programme (PDF) indicating the conference themes is now available to view.

The call for posters is now open.

Please submit your abstract via this form.

The submission closing date is 11.59pm on Friday 24 July 2026.

Please view the faculty webpage for further details on the prizes available.
