Event Information
Oral presentations
We would like to invite Resident Doctors to contribute to the conference programme by delivering a 10-minute presentation on a topic related to psychiatry in Scotland. Presentations may be based on an audit, research project, quality improvement project, service evaluation, or other work relevant to psychiatry.
One oral presentation slot will be reserved for a presentation highlighting a Resident Doctor's volunteering experience, and we particularly encourage submissions in this area.
Residents in core and higher training and SAS doctors working in psychiatry are eligible to present.
If you would like to be considered, please submit your abstract through the form below. Abstracts should be no more than 400 words.
The closing date for oral presentation abstracts is 6pm on Thursday, 26 November 2026.
The conference registration fee will be covered for one lead author/presenter. This does not extend to co‑authors or additional presenters, and travel expenses will not be covered.
Digital poster presentations
We are also inviting poster submissions for our conference in January 2027. All submissions will be reviewed ahead of the conference and successful authors will then be invited to have their poster displayed online before, during and after the conference.
Please note that posters will not be displayed in person at the venue. If your poster is accepted, we regret that we are unable to provide a complimentary place at the conference.
To submit a poster, please read the call for posters and complete the poster abstract submission form below. Abstracts should be no more than 400 words.
The closing date for poster abstracts is 6pm on Friday, 4 December 2026.
We will be awarding the following prizes:
The best poster will be awarded £150.
Two runner-up poster presentations will be rewarded £50.
