Library access for private practitioners

When moving into private practice, it can be nerve wracking to lose access to NHS resources. Make sure you are taking advantage of the library services provided by the College.

RCPsych OpenAthens Accounts

All College members can set an RCPsych OpenAthens account to access online journals, databases and ebooks. To set up an account, get in touch with the Library.

Book Borrowing and Requests

The College provides free postal loans of library books, although you are responsible for returns. Search the library catalogue.

New books are bought based on requests from members, so if we don’t have what you need, let us know.

Research Assistance

The College Library also provides a free literature searching service and help with systematic reviews. Get in touch to make a request or set up a meeting to discuss what you need.

Training

We know that digital resources are changing faster than it is possible to keep up with. We offer one to one training and troubleshooting sessions to help if you are ever running into issues.
