Professor
of molecular psychiatry at the MRC Social, Genetic and Developmental Psychiatry (SGDP) Research Centre at the Institute of Psychiatry. He works on clinical, quantitative genetic and molecular genetic studies of ADHD in adults and children; and the
clinical assessment and treatment of adult ADHD. He has been a senior member of the UK National Adult ADHD Clinic at the Maudsley Hospital since 1998.

He works as an epidemiologist on the prevention of depression and on the burden of autism in adulthood and is Chair of the WHO SCAN Advisers, developing a revised SCAN interview that will include neurodevelopmental disorders.

Specialty doctor in intellectual disability psychiatry for Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University Health Board. He has a special interest in neurodevelopmental disorders in people with intellectual disabilities, and is currently undertaking a project on catatonia in autism spectrum disorders.

Dr Prajakta Patil is a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist working in the Trevor Gibbens Unit, Kent. She is the editor of Freedcamp, an online forum for sharing ideas, good practice and general discussion for the SIG members.
Academic secretary
Dr Raja Mukherjee is a Consultant Psychiatrist in the Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and the Academic Secretary for the Neurodevelopmental SIG. The role is to put together the conferences and drive the educational direction of the SIG with the input of the Executive and members.
