Equality Action Plan (2021-23)

Our Equality Action Plan (2021-23) (PDF) contains 29 key commitments to promote equality and equitable outcomes for College members, staff, mental health staff, and patients and carers.

To help develop this plan we appointed a taskforce with representatives from our staff, College members, trainees and patient and carer experts.

We also organised a series of four roundtable discussions to advance equality within the College and for all groups of members and trainees as well as patients, carers and mental health services.

Roundtable panellists were chosen from diverse groups representing College staff and its members, as well as representatives from national charities and individuals with expertise in reducing inequalities. The roundtables were open for all members and staff to attend and contribute.

The taskforce reviewed a total of 29 previous reports along with their recommendations (PDF) and used these to inform the action plan which was one of the College's key objectives in the strategic plan for 2021-23.
