Taking a role on the Executive Committee

The London Division's Executive Committee are always looking for new members! Being a member of the Exec will help you expand your network of professional contacts, shape the service the College provides to members in the region, and will be a lot of fun too.

Promoting Careers in Psychiatry

We are extremely focused and proactive about promoting careers in psychiatry and increasing the numbers of people who choose psychiatry as a career.  To find out more about the work that we do in recruiting to psychiatry or how you can get involved, please contact Karen Morgan.

Attending an event or training session

The Divisions team works hard to provide great events and training sessions at which you can gain CPD points, keep your knowledge up to date and network with other members, carers and patient representatives in the region.

Nominating someone for a London Division Award

If you're aware of someone in the London Division who deserves recognition, nominate them for one of our prestigious awards.

Prizes and Bursaries

Each year the London Division runs an Essay prize for medical undergraduate and foundation doctor held at the Autumn Conference.

A maximum of four prizes of £200 each are offered, depending on the standard and number of submissions.

  • two prizes of £200 for medical undergraduates
  • two prizes of £200 for foundation doctors.

The London Division also offer two bursaries each year.

  • a bursary for medical students/foundation doctors and trainees who are presenting a poster at International Congress
  • a bursary for Leaders Plus NHS Foundation Fellowship for those who have a young family but want to further their leadership career

Representing the Division at the annual Mindmasters quiz

Each year the Division takes part in the Mindmasters quiz, which began in 2022. If you enjoy quizzes and would like to take part in the team, we'd love to hear from you. Contact london@rcpsych.ac.uk for more information.
