Congratulations on the acceptance of your poster for the 2026 International Congress.

Please read through our FAQs below.

Yes, you can withdraw your abstract completely by emailing congress.posters@rcpsych.ac.uk.

You have until Tuesday 31 March to withdraw your abstract.

The same applies if you would like to withdraw your abstract from the BJPsych Open Supplement only (if originally selected). 

Yes, as Congress is taking place in-person only, the presenting author will need to register to attend at least one day of Congress (only in person tickets are available for purchase).

It does not matter what day you choose to attend, your poster will be displayed electronically throughout all four days of Congress. 

The presenting author only needs to be registered for one day in order to have the poster displayed throughout Congress.

No, all posters will be electronic, we are not able accept paper posters.

As outlined in the submission guidelines, changes to your abstract, other than the presenting author, cannot be made once the submission deadline has passed.

Additional information, such as results, can however be included in your ePoster.

No, unfortunately it is not possible to add additional authors at this stage.
Yes, after the Congress your certificate will be downloadable from the poster platform, PosterSession Online. Further details of how to download the certificate will be sent closer to the time.
Yes, please add your contact details to your poster if you wish to be contactable. 
Unfortunately, we are working to strict deadlines and are therefore unable to extend the deadline for you to register.
Individual abstracts are not indexed in PubMed or PubMed Central. They are however fully citable, and any citations received do contribute towards the journal’s Impact Factor. Please see the latest metrics for BJPsych Open below:
