Sustainability is becoming an increasingly important priority for mental health services, not only in response to environmental challenges but also as a way to support long-term, high-quality care. This webinar will provide a practical introduction to embedding sustainability principles into everyday service delivery, helping teams take meaningful and achievable steps towards more sustainable practice.
The session will introduce the CCQI Green Leaf Standards, outlining how they can support services to take a structured approach to sustainability.
There will be a particular focus on:
- the role of nature-based interventions, exploring how these can enhance patient wellbeing while contributing to greener models of care.
- how to foster a culture of sustainability within teams, including the role of “green champions” and how to encourage sustainable ways of working across multidisciplinary staff groups
- how sustainability can be incorporated into quality improvement (QI) initiatives and service development plans, ensuring it becomes an integral part of ongoing improvement rather than a standalone objective
- sustainability considerations in medication use, highlighting opportunities to reduce environmental impact while maintaining safe and effective clinical practice.
This webinar is designed to be practical and accessible, equipping attendees with ideas, tools and examples they can take back to their own services to begin or strengthen their sustainability journey.
We are pleased to invite all members of the CCQI Quality and Accreditation Networks to attend the webinar for free. Please register to receive the link. For non-members, there is a fee of £20 to join the webinar.
