Accreditation committee call out

The College Centre for Quality Improvement (CCQI) is looking for psychiatrists to join their Accreditation Committees. This is a great opportunity to be involved in the accreditation of services and drive service improvements nationally.

The Accreditation Committees comprise of professionals who represent key interests and areas of expertise in services, and patients and carers who have experience of using these services.

The committees consider the evidence gathered through a process of peer review and makes a recommendation about the accreditation status of services.

Members of the committees also contribute to improving the quality of the work of the CCQI by giving feedback on the quality of reports, and by making suggestions about how the accreditation process can be improved.

There are a range of committees representing different specialisms within mental health, with each committee being linked to a different quality network.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the quality networks and supporting services to improve as well as championing the medical profession within this.

Membership of the committees also supports professional development and demonstrates a commitment to service development.

If you are interested in finding out more about the role, please contact ccqi@rcpsych.ac.uk.
