RCPsych SAS strategy

The Royal College of Psychiatrists' first SAS strategy aims to improve access to development opportunities and recognition as well as SAS psychiatrists' experience of their profession.

The SAS strategy – published April 2023 - sets out to support SAS psychiatrists to fulfil their potential and have a rewarding career by focusing on four areas:

• supporting education and research
• improving Care
• influencing system-level change
• belonging to the College.

Serving a diverse group, the strategy will help those who need to gain access to education and training to acquire competencies, as well as those who are seeking recognition for already-acquired competencies.
