One College, Four Nations

The College is constantly striving to provide a better service to members, and one way we're looking to do so is the way we serve our members across the four nations of the UK.

We are currently working on a Four Nations Inclusion staff project where our goal is for the whole staff team to appreciate the differences across the four UK nations – including within legislation, policy, health, and social care systems – and how this is reflected and acknowledged in the day-to-day work and outputs of the College staff team.

This project has begun with some staff training this week on devolution and our work across the four UK nations, under the banner of ‘Four Nations Learning Week’.

We’ve had some excellent training from an external devolution expert, and spotlight sessions of the work of each nation, delivered by the staff leads in those areas.

Our Learning Week will be followed by a workshop with key staff and will result in a strategy that identifies and addresses the challenges and opportunities of being a four nation College.

We look forward to updating members on the outputs of that workshop, and our strategy later this year.
