Voting open in College elections

Voting is now open for the election of the College’s next Registrar, as well as positions on a number of Faculties, International Divisions, Special Interest Groups and the Psychiatric Resident Doctors' Committee (formerly known as the Psychiatric Trainees’ Committee).

The Registrar is one of the most senior positions at the College and involves leading campaigns, influencing stakeholders and shaping policy at a national level as well as overseeing membership engagement and support.

Six candidates are standing to be the next Registrar:

  • Dr Anis Ahmed
  • Dr Rais Irfan Ahmed
  • Dr Fabida Aria
  • Dr Jeya Balakrishna
  • Professor Owen Bowden-Jones
  • Dr Mayura Deshpande

Members eligible to vote will have received a voting email on 6 March with a link to cast your vote in all the elections that you’re eligible to vote in. Voting will close at midday on 3 April. Results will be declared on 4 April.
