Supporting applicants on the Portfolio Pathway
Following the legislative changes in November 2023, the College has committed to support all Portfolio Pathway stakeholders.
While this is new territory for all, including the GMC, the newly renamed Portfolio Pathway Committee has prioritised training and information sessions.
The College has run numerous training sessions for Evaluators. On 30 January 2025, we hosted the first applicant training session.
The session had over 140 attendees. The College recorded and published the session. We received excellent feedback, for example:
“Applying for portfolio pathway is not something I intend to do in the immediate future, but I now have a better understanding of what is required, and I can work more intentionally in a way to start collecting evidence.”
We are hoping to run another session in October 2025.
