Award-winning eLearning

The College’s eLearning services have been recognised in a national awards scheme.

eLearning Hub Association Excellence Awards 2025On Friday 8 November, RCPsych won Bronze at the Association Excellence Awards 2024 for Best Association Partnership or Collaboration for our work with D2L, our Learning Management System provider, in recognition of the impact of accessing high-quality training delivered via our fantastic eLearning Hub.

Since replatforming our 400+ CPD eLearning and Trainees Online (TrOn) resources to the eLearning Hub in 2020/2021, we have been able to continually enhance and evolve our online learning offering for our members and significantly improve the learner experience, making use of new functionalities in the LMS to provide more in-depth learning experiences.

This includes our blended Section 12/Approved Clinician training, as well as development of the National Autism Training Programme for Psychiatrists (NATPP), Public Mental Health Leadership (PMHL) Certification course and the first ever International Diploma in Older Adults’ mental health. Such courses have seen the introduction of discussion forums, mentoring groups and assignment submissions, which encourage collaborative learning and the creation of communities of practice.

Collaborative working with D2L has been key to the implementation of new features on our LMS, and use of the LMS has opened up new avenues for the College to deliver learning in response to workforce need, aligning with our key objective to provide learning in service of patient care and improve clinical outcomes.

Congratulations to the eLearning team, and also to the many stakeholders across the College and our membership that work so hard to develop and deliver training with us via the eLearning Hub.
