Marcia Cummings

Marcia has over 20 years strategic and operational HR experience, including many years working within senior roles within complex organisations of a similar size to the Royal College of Psychiatrists.

Prior to joining the Royal College of Psychiatrists, Marcia has worked in senior roles within various Not-for-Profit organisations including Social Housing.

She is responsible for the design and implementation of the College’s People Strategy to ensure that the College has the right people in the right roles, performing at their best.

Alongside this she also leads a department responsible for the delivery of a full range of HR functions, including employee engagement, recruitment, employee relations, remuneration and benefits, leadership development, organisation design and change management, diversity, HR administration and policy. She also provides support to our service users and carers.

Marcia is an LLB (Hons) graduate with an Postgraduate Diploma in Personnel Management and a MA in HR Strategy and Change Management. She is also a Fellow of the CIPD.
