Following the presentation there will be an opportunity for a Question and Answers.
An Independent Review of Gender Identity Services for Children and Young People as commissioned by NHS England and NHS Improvement in Autumn 2020 to make recommendations about the services provided by the NHS to children and young people who are questioning their gender identity or experiencing gender incongruence. Major changes are now planned for the provision of these services and implementation of phase 1 of those changes has begun.
Dr Hilary Cass, former President of The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health has led the review and we are delighted that she has agreed to present aspects of the interim report to us ahead of the publication of the final report later this year.
