How to Apply to Higher Training webinar

Thursday 26 November 2020

Whether you know you want to apply to higher psychiatry training and are wondering how, or are not yet certain it’s the path for you, this webinar will help you make the right decisions about the next steps in your career. Our speakers will cover topics including the ST4 application process, what it’s like to start out in higher training and experiences throughout psychiatry training.

If you are a senior psychiatrist hoping to support junior colleagues in their applications, the webinar will also give you more information to do this. The webinar is suitable for anyone interested in psychiatry, but particularly core trainees or those who have completed core training and are currently not in a training programme.

Presentations included:

  • Applying to ST4 - Clare Kerswill, Head of Specialty Recruitment, HENW
  • Experiences applying and in ST4 - Kabir Garg
  • My career and why I chose psychiatry training - Benjamin Waterhouse

This was followed by a Q&A session chaired by Dr Luke Baker.
