Primarily aimed at Scottish medical students and foundation doctors (but not exclusively!) our informal mini careers event on Friday 3 February from 1.00pm-3.30pm via Zoom hopes to provide information about how you can prepare for psychiatry training whilst in medical school and beyond.
We will also be hosting networking breakout sessions on various subspecialties including Psychotherapy, General Adult, Eating Disorders, Addictions, Child and Adolescent and Liaison. It's free to attend so register now! We look forward to seeing you there.

The draft programme is as follows:-
- 1.00-1.10pm – Welcome – Dr Declan Hyland (new RCPsych Associate Dean for Choose Psychiatry)
- 1.10-1.30pm – Being a psychiatric trainee and how to prepare in medical school (Dr Rachel Ball)
- 1.30-1.50pm – Simulation in core training (Dr Neera Gajree)
- 1.50-2.10pm – Opportunities while in training (Dr Nina Mackenzie)
- 2.10-2.20pm – Break
- 2.20-2.50pm – Quiz (Dr Roger Smyth)
- 2.50-3.30pm - Networking breakout sessions for various sub-specialties including Medical Psychotherapy, Eating Disorders, Addictions, General Adult, Liaison, Forensic and Child & Adolescent psychiatry.
