• Dr Shubulade Smith CBE: Dr Smith is a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist at the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and an academic at King’s College London. She is also an RCPsych Presidential Lead for Race and Equality, and Clinical and Strategic Director with the College’s National Collaborating Centre for Mental Health (NCCMH) and will become President of RCPsych in July 2023.
• Dr Sumi Ratnam, Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist at East London NHS Foundation Trust (ELFT). Dr Ratnam has worked in women’s services for 19 years and has an interest in the well-being of women at work. In the first part of this webinar, Dr Ratnam will discuss sexual harassment faced by girls and women in the public and work spheres of their life. She will be joined by colleagues from ELFT who will share findings from a survey that looked at the experiences of female doctors in their trust.
• Dr Philippa Greenfield is the RCPsych Women in Mental Health Special Interest Group (WMHSIG) lead for their work on Violence Against Women and Girls. Dr Greenfield is a Consultant General Adult Psychiatrist. She has a special interest in the impact of trauma and inequality on mental health.  She holds roles as Trauma Informed Lead and a Named Doctor for Adult Safeguarding.
• Dr Stella Kingett is the incoming chair of the RCPsych WMHSIG. Dr Kingett is a Consultant General Adult Psychiatrist and a member of the BMA Consultant’s Committee and the BMA Consultant’s Committee Equalities Group. During the second part of this webinar Dr Greenfield and Dr Kingett will talk about the import role of standalone sexual harassment policy to support those who experience sexual harassment. They will also discuss how a failure to address the prevention and detection of sexual misconduct and abusive behaviours in health organisations can have serious impacts on patient safety, trust and credibility and the need for effective solutions to take an institution wide approach.
