This event is part of a full webinar series on LGBTQ+ mental health.

LGBTQ+ people have a higher prevalence of mental health difficulties, compared to many of the population. Yet, most of us know little about the challenges and barriers they experience.

Our LGBTQ+ Mental Health Webinar series, hosted by RCPsych Trent and West Midlands Division, aims to look into the various mental ill health conditions commonly experienced within the LGBTQ+ community, share research, and provide the tools to better equip care givers working with and supporting this group.

The series of four webinars will cover the following areas:

  • Session 1 - Trauma, substances and suicide - LGBTQ+ Mental health - 28 September 2023
  • Session 2 - Supporting transgender adult patients - 8 December 2023
  • Session 3 - Intersectionality and LGBTQ+ mental health: a closer look - 25 January 2024
  • Session 4 - LGBTQ+ Youth Mental Health Webinar - 23 February 2024
