About the West Midlands Executive Committee

Find out about the work of our committee and how you can contact us.

The West Midlands Division Executive Committee meets quarterly.

It has a remit to elect members, nominate regional advisors, submit recommendations for Fellowship, nominate assessors for advisory appointments committees, nominate examiners, and submit nominations for clinical excellence awards.

View the terms of reference for the Executive.

Members in the West Midlands Division are supported by a strong, committed Executive Committee which meets three times a year. The Executive Committee has an active academic programme and hosts two academic conferences each year.

As well as the academic theme, one conference incorporates a Trainee/FY2 and Medical Student/FY1 competition. We’ll let you know about conferences and trainee competitions on Twitter ( @rcpsychWM) and on these webpages.

The Executive Committee encourage members to engage with the College locally, and welcome comments and suggestions from the wider membership.

If you’d like to contact the Executive Committee, you can do so via the Division Office.

We’re committed to promoting psychiatry, actively taking an interest in local medical schools, in particular local psychiatric societies.

Medical students and Foundation Doctors are encouraged to attend events and conferences organised by the Division.

Patient and carer input is important to the division. If you are a patient or carer, you are represented on the Executive Committee, and we also hope to see you at division conferences.

The Division Office is committed to providing members with a fast and efficient service. So this can happen, members are asked to keep their contact details up to date – particularly their email addresses.

Please let us know if your contact details change.
