Change of chair at RCPsych in Scotland

RCPsych in Scotland has announced that their chair, Dr Linda Findlay, has stepped down.

Linda served as chair during the last two years – which included navigating members through the difficult days of the pandemic as well as keeping the pressure on, and responding to concerns about, Scottish Government funding for mental health services.

The former vice-chair, Dr Jane Morris, has now taken up the chair role while Dr Pavan Srireddy now takes up the role of vice-chair, with the support of the Devolved Council of the RCPsych in Scotland.

Commenting on her departure, Dr Linda Findlay said:

“It is with great sadness that I step down from my role as chair.

“I am beyond thankful for the support that College Officers, staff, and members have offered over the last two years. People have been so generous with their knowledge and time.

“It has been a career highlight and enormous privilege to serve as chair in Scotland.

“I wish Jane all the very best in taking up this vital role and I know everyone will continue to offer support to Jane as she steps in. I would also like to offer my support to Pavan as he steps into the vice-chair role and wish everyone the very best going forward.”
