Specialist Advisor for Foundation Training

The College is seeking to appoint a psychiatrist who has expertise in Foundation training to take an active role and provide high-level input to the College's work in supporting the delivery of Foundation training across the UK. This will involve representing the College at relevant meetings, identifying and disseminating areas of good practice and producing a guide to Foundation training in Psychiatry.

The post is voluntary and the appointee should expect, with the agreement of his or her employer, to spend an average of 1PA per session per week in the role. 

The post holder will work with the team of Associate Deans and report to the Dean. The primary role is to advise on and support the College’s work on Foundation training

The post will appeal to senior psychiatrists who have an interest in this area in particular and have a commitment to maintaining high standards in postgraduate education and training in psychiatry as well as the ability to actively make a contribution.
