Sign up for our Public Mental Health Leadership Certification course

Following the successful launch in 2024 of the Public Mental Health Leadership Certification course, registration is now open for the second of two further 2025 cohorts.

I would encourage members to register as soon as possible on this popular course to avoid disappointment, as well as DMEs and others who may wish to make group bookings to enhance localised, prevention-focused learning in your trust or area.

Webinars

You must attend the two webinar sessions as part of the course, as follows:

  • Thursday 25 September, 9am-12pm
  • Thursday 4 December, 2-5pm.

eLearning modules 1-3 will be available to you upon registration, with modules 4-6 available following the first webinar session.

Discounts are available for group bookings; contact eventsadmin@rcpsych.ac.uk for further information.

The course

This comprehensive course is designed for UK-based and international psychiatrists, members of the public mental health/public health workforces including clinicians, allied health professionals, community-based organisations and policy makers, and intends to:

  • enhance the knowledge and skills of public mental health
  • develop a culture change from an individualised model of clinical psychiatry to a population-based, preventative community public health approach
  • generate and empower local champions
  • train the next generation of multidisciplinary leaders by providing the tools and expertise to advocate for public mental health.

It offers six exclusive interactive eLearning modules, free access to a curated suite of RCPsych CPD eLearning resources on related topics, and two live webinars with Q&A sessions alongside an expert faculty.

The Learning Community – which aims to support local systems to improve their public mental health implementation, and create a space for continuous shared learning – continues to provide interaction and support beyond completion of the course via monthly online learning sets and workshops.
