Training, Workforce and Examinations Committees
Role
The Education and Training Committee is the most senior educational committee within the College, and has overall responsibility for the formulation and ratification of educational policy.
The Education and Training Committee is responsible for all aspects of the education and training of psychiatrists at each stage of their careers, including the monitoring of standards of training at both basic specialist and higher specialist level, overseeing the MRCPsych Examinations, formulating policy regarding Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and determining who is elected as a PMPT, Affiliate, Member or Fellow of the College.
The Committee also ratifies the award of College prizes, endorses lists of Regional Advisers and Representatives, Examiners, and Assessors who participate in Advisory Appointments Committees, and receives the minutes of all educational committees within the College.
If you wish to submit a prize proposal for ratification by the committee, please submit using our online form at least two weeks in advance of the next committee meeting.

Role
The Royal College of Psychiatrists Revalidation and CPD Committee has responsibility for all aspects of revalidation and continuing professional development policy. This includes making recommendations to the Education & Training Committee regarding strategic planning and implementation, and ensuring that members and fellows are provided with the necessary information and support.
