About the RCPsych International Congress
Congress is the College's annual flagship event – an ideal opportunity to network, share examples of best practice and ensure you're up to date with the latest findings in mental health.
Anyone with an interest in mental health is welcome to attend, whether you're a member of the College or not.
What to expect
Congress runs over four days, with an additional evening the day prior to the main programme. The programme includes between 15-17 keynote presentations from world-renowned international speakers, opinion leaders and those with lived experience.
In addition, there are over 60 sessions, split between five concurrent streams exploring clinical practice, psychopharmacology, new science, education and training, policy and media and leadership and management.
Alongside the main educational programme there is also the opportunity to relax and unwind in a variety of wellbeing sessions, cultural fringe activity from music, drama, art, literature and dance, as well as a number of social events, networking lunches and a College quiz.
We also have the opportunity for delegates to present their work in our ePoster hub which features hundreds of poster presentations on digital displays. The ePoster hub sits at the heart of our vibrant exhibition hall, where delegates also have the opportunity to meet with over 50 different exhibitors and connect further with the College through the RCPsych Stand.
A history of the International Congress
Since its beginning in 2010, Congress has attracted local, national, and international delegates from a variety of professional backgrounds and steadily grown to become one of the most prestigious mental health events in the world.
Many cities around the UK have played host to the event, including, Brighton, Liverpool, Birmingham, Edinburgh and London. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we held Congress 2021 as an online ‘virtual’ event for the first time.
