Faculty of Eating Disorders Conference 2023

Event Information

The Faculty of Eating Disorders Conference 2023 will take place on Thursday 2 and Friday 3 November 2023. Biological aspects of eating disorders such as biomarkers, brain stimulation, psychedelics and nutrition will be a central focus of the conference. Additionally, novel aspects of mentalisation-based treatment and new results of recently completed clinical studies will be presented. Workshops will address academic careers in eating disorders, male carers, and art in psychiatry. The conference has confirmation from internationally and nationally established speakers as well as rising stars in the field. Even though the meeting will have a hybrid format and people can attend remotely, it would be great to meet as many professionals working in eating disorders services, trainees, students, service users and carers as possible in person.

The call for posters is now closed.

This event will take place in-person at the RCPsych and will be livestreamed via EventsAir.

If you book a Livestream ticket, you will be sent joining instructions a day or two before the conference, including your unique link and information about the platform.

The above fees are only available if you are a Member, Fellow, or Affiliate of the RCPsych. Non-members must pay the non-member fee.

This event is primarily targeted toward psychiatrists, but it is also open to other non-psychiatric medical professionals and allied health professionals, who have a passion or interest in delivering care for eating disorders.

*The discounted allied healthcare professional rate is available for the following: allied healthcare professionals like occupational therapists, psychologists, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists etc. Allied Health Professionals may be required to show proof of their status. Other medical professionals, e.g. GPs must select the non-member rate.

The Faculty of Eating Disorders also welcomes service users and carers to attend this conference at a discounted rate.

Please contact bethany.shaheir@rcpsych.ac.uk if you would like to book your discounted ticket or are unsure about which rate applies to you.
