Event Information
Overview
We are delighted to welcome you to the 5th Anniversary Better Data, Better Care conference taking place at the RCPsych on Wednesday 23 April 2024. The conference this year will be hybrid, so one can attend in person and online, although we would love for you to join us in person.
The theme for this year’s programme is the clinical value and utility of data for clinicians and how data plays a key part in our day to day clinical practice. To be more specific, how data is an integral part of 21st century healthcare and has a key and fundamental relationship with all aspects of our clinical practice.
As part of the programme, we will be having sessions on the relationships between data and our clinical practice i.e.

- Data and Training/Education
- Data and Improving patient care
- Data and Digital Technologies
As in previous years, the core principles behind the series of Better Data, Better Care Conferences and continuing for this year’s programme will be:
- ICES – increasing clinician efficiency and patient safety
- IPOE – improving patient outcomes and experience
- EDMH – enabling digital mental health services for patients
- Digital Literacy Framework

How does the livestream option work?
This event will be live in London, and also livestreamed online via a platform called EventsAir. Registered participants will receive their link to watch the conference in their joining instructions. Joining instructions will be sent out a few days before the conference is due to take place.

- view a video of the speaker alongside any slides
- ask your questions to the speakers and chat with other delegates via the discussion forum
All registered participants will also have access to this conference recording (subject to speaker permission) for twelve weeks (16 July, 11.59pm) after the event.

- Subsidised rate includes those on lower incomes paying a subsidised RCPsych membership rate (maternity or parental leave, working part time or taking a career break) and International RCPsych Members residing in band D and C countries.
- Medical Students and Foundation Year Doctors can apply for free RCPsych membership, which then gives you access to reduced conference registration fees, amongst other benefits
