Consultant forensic psychiatrist retired as executive clinical director, National Forensic Mental Health Service, Central Mental Hospital, Dundrum, Dublin 14, Ireland. Continues as Professor of Forensic Psychiatry Trinity College Dublin. Honorary Skou professor of forensic psychiatry, University of Aarhus and Hon. Visiting Professor of Forensic Psychiatry, University of Bari ‘Aldo Moro’, Italy. Professor Kennedy also teaches forensic psychiatry and is co-author of the forthcoming second edition of Seminars in Forensic Psychiatry, second edition, CUP. He publishes research on triage and recovery in therapeutically safe and secure pathways (DUNDRUM toolkit) and models of care.
