The International Congress 2026 poster abstract submission is now open!
21 January, 2026
Are you undertaking research that would benefit from wider dissemination?
Have you completed a quality improvement project, audit or service evaluation with learning to share?
Do you have a case study that would be of interest to colleagues beyond your organisation?
The RCPsych International Congress 2026 provides an excellent opportunity to present your work to a global audience.
Poster abstract submissions are now open for the International Congress 2026, taking place in person at ACC Liverpool, from 15–18 June 2026. Congress is one of the largest international meetings in psychiatry and brings together clinicians, researchers and educators from across the world.
What is a Congress poster?
Posters at Congress are displayed electronically on screens at the venue in our ePoster Hub.
A poster provides a clear and concise visual summary of work, presenting the key aims, methods, findings and conclusions in an accessible format. Effective posters use concise text, a logical structure, and clear visuals to communicate core messages without relying on tables, appendices or extensive references.
At the submission stage, only an abstract is required. Authors whose abstracts are accepted will be invited to create and upload their full digital poster via an online platform in advance of the Congress.
Why submit a poster?
Presenting a poster at Congress offers valuable opportunities for professional development, networking and academic recognition.
Authors of accepted abstracts will benefit from:
- Publication - all successful abstracts will be published in a special supplement of BJPsych Open
- Visibility throughout Congress - posters will be displayed in the ePoster Hub for delegates to view throughout the event
- Pitch your poster – a chance to present your poster during the Congress refreshment breaks
- Rapid-fire oral presentations - top-scoring authors will be invited to deliver short oral presentations and respond to questions from a live audience
- Enhance your CV - showcase your work at one of the most prestigious events in the psychiatry event calendar
