We are delighted to reveal the speakers for the RCPsych Northwest Spring Conference 2018 “Physical Health and Psychiatry”. This programme is designed not as a replacement for the many physical health refresher courses available, but rather as a series of lectures to further explore particular aspects of interest in physical health from a psychiatrist’s viewpoint.

Part of the programme will be delivered by medical consultants, some of whom have specific experience in working with adults with mental illness, who will give an overview of their specialist area whilst also addressing particular areas of relevance to psychiatrists. We also have psychiatrists who have vast experience in working with physical health issues and also updates on projects aimed at improving the physical health of adults with severe mental illness in order to reduce the huge physical health burden in this population.

We hope you find that this conference helps increase your knowledge, skills and interest to improve the physical health of the service users you work with on a day to day basis.
