International Division election FAQs
Members who are members of the International Division can stand for election.
The timetable for 2024 elections is as follows:
1 December 2023 (noon) | Nominations open |
26 January 2024 (noon) | Closing date for submission of nominations |
9 February 2024 (noon) | Extended closing date for unfilled positions |
13 March 2024 | Voting opens |
10 April 2024 | Voting closes |
11 April 2024 | Results of elections declared |
TBC June 2024 | Terms of office begin at AGM |
Information you'll need to provide
- The names, email addresses and membership numbers of your proposer and seconder, they must be Members or Specialist Associates.
- An election address (supporting statement) of appropriate word length. The word limit is 500 words for Chair and Vice-Chair positions and 200 words for Financial Officer positions.
- There'll be an option to upload a photo to be used on election materials.
- You'll also be asked to confirm your good standing with your country's medical council and with regard to College membership fees.
Submitting your nomination
Nominations must be submitted through the Civica Election Services nomination platform.
You can save your nomination and return to it at a later date. If you forget to complete, we will send you a reminder when the deadline is approaching.
Once you've finished your nomination you can submit it and within 24 hours you'll receive email confirmation of your submission.
