Dr Mao Fong Lim
Presidential Scholar for Physical Health
Mao is an ST5 in General Adult Psychiatry, currently working in the Liaison Psychiatry service in Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge. He has a longstanding interest in the interface between physical and mental health, particularly in cancer psychiatry and neuropsychiatry. He was previously an NIHR Academic Clinical Fellow, with research experience in data science, prediction modelling and psychedelic clinical trials. He has also completed PGCerts in Medical Education, and Clinical Data Science.
As one of the Presidential Scholars for Physical Health, he is collaborating on the RCPsych Position Statement on physical health. He is also leading the development of the RCPsych Clozapine monitoring protocol (Wim's Protocol).
Adjacent to psychiatry, Mao enjoys creative pursuits, including visual art, immersive theatre and dance. He hopes to continuously integrate his experiences and interests into his clinical practice and research.
