Event Information

The Royal College of Psychiatrists Faculty of Perinatal Psychiatry is inviting poster submissions for our online conference on 25 May 2023.

We are now inviting poster submissions for our online conference on 25 May 2023. All submissions will be reviewed ahead of the conference and successful authors will then be invited to present their work as a poster online. A prize is awarded to the highest scoring candidate.

Channi Kumar Prize - Call for Posters 
Candidates are invited to submit a poster abstract regarding the following aspect of perinatal mental health:
  • Inequalities and constellation of biases in perinatal and maternal health: bringing professionals together

 

Regulations:

1. Abstracts must be in English. Abbreviations may be used only if they are defined.
2. The abstract must not exceed 300 words (count does not include title or authors).
3. The abstract must not contain bibliographical references, tables, diagrams or appendices. If accepted for presentation at the conference these can be added at a later date.
4. Abstracts must be presented in five-headed paragraphs in the following order: Aims and hypothesis, Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
5. Submissions are accepted on the understanding that the work has been performed with the permission of any relevant ethical or legislative body. The authors should therefore ensure the work was conducted with appropriate ethical and governance safeguards.
6.All sources of financial sponsorship of the study should be stated at the end of the abstract.
7. FY1 - ST6 doctors are eligible for the prize

Channi Kumar Prize:

£150 plus complimentary registration to the Faculty of Perinatal Psychiatry Annual Meeting, and up to £150 travel expenses (when the Annual Meeting is face to face) and a certificate.

Judging:
  • The judging panel will comprise two consultant executive committee members and one trainee executive committee member
  • Criteria for judging will include your clarity of expression, understanding of the topic, originality and adherence to the brief

The submission closing date is 5.00pm on Monday 27 March 2023.

This event will be taking place online via a platform called EventsAir. Registered participants will receive their link to join the conference in their joining instructions. Joining instructions will be sent out in the days before the conference is due to take place.

  • Ask your questions to the speakers and chat with other delegates via the discussion forum
  • All registered participants will also have access to this conference recording for up to two months post event
