Faculty of General Adult Psychiatry Annual Conference: Future Directions for Adult Psychiatry

Event Information

The General Adult Faculty Conference Autumn 2024 addresses a set of critical questions for making progress in general adult mental health care in the 2020s. International experts will focus on how to improve practice in treating people with bipolar, those who have experienced repeated trauma, and young adults under 25 and students with mental health difficulties.

Approaches to applying new evidence from research on Open Dialogue, on clinical and public health aspects of suicide prevention and from cutting-edge neuroscience will be discussed. Panel discussions will explore how early intervention in psychosis can be renewed for the 2020s and how compulsory psychiatric admissions could be reduced.

Join us in Belfast to get involved in highly stimulating in person discussions with international experts from around the UK and the Republic of Ireland. In between these, enjoy an evening of Craic and Canapés with live music and a chance to explore a beautiful and fascinating city.

A draft copy of the programme is now available to view. Further details will be added in due course.
