Dr Gemma Buston

Gemma is an ST4 in dual General Adult and Old Age Psychiatry. She is passionate about workforce wellbeing and preventative mental health. Gemma has led on several quality improvement projects focused on trainee wellbeing in collaboration with the North West Equality, Diversity and Inclusion network, for example implementation of a regional IMG buddy scheme.

Through education, Gemma is also keen to promote self-awareness of unconscious bias and the impact this can have on patient care and outcomes. Outside of work, Gemma enjoys staycations, beach walks and bodyboarding. Unfortunately, she lives in landlocked Manchester so this involves some travelling on her days off!
