Dr Shah Tarfarosh

I am a Registrar Psychiatrist in Oxford. I am interested in Positive Psychology, Preventative Psychiatry, and Personal Productivity. I apply the concepts from these three areas in my clinical work as a Psychiatrist, academic work in my role as a Teaching Fellow at the University of Oxford for Core Trainees, and personal life while interacting with colleagues, groups or while leading projects. Following my postgraduate qualification from the University of Cambridge in Clinical Medicine - (Clinical Research, Education & Leadership), I applied all that I learned to the real life projects for supporting patients, staff and junior doctors in Psychiatry.

It was an honour to receive the Innovator of the year award 2022 and Educator of the Year 2023 from RCPsych South Eastern Division, as well as to be a finalist for Trainee Peer of the Year and Higher Trainee of the Year in 2022. I am currently representative for the Thames Valley Deanery Psychiatry Registrars and have always had active communication with trainees (both core and higher)  in our deanery generally but especially in areas of concern, reporting matters of significance to the relevant bodies to make sure things change for good.
