We have a key role to play in improving the quality of mental health services through the dissemination of our expertise in the form of education and training, research and quality improvement initiatives. This role provides a fantastic opportunity to forge strong partner-facing relationships, whilst at the same time work closely with leading experts in psychiatry from our membership and our excellent staff team.

About you

We are looking for a dynamic individual who can seamlessly work with external partners and College stakeholders to identify, shape and deliver commercial projects that deliver income to the College and value to our partners. This will involve working with international stakeholders as well as UK-based healthcare leaders in the NHS and independent sector. Some national and international travel will be required as part of the role.

The successful candidate will have exceptional written communication skills with a demonstrable track record of producing compelling narrative in the form of proposals, bids, business cases or marketing copy and be able to evidence successfully, securing buy-in from key stakeholders. Similarly, we expect the candidate to have excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills that will enable them to build trusted external relationships and work effectively cross-departmentally within the College.

We are looking for someone that has experience of working within the mental health sector, ideally in a strategic, managerial or commercial/business development capacity. NHS experience is particularly valuable, as is experience of working within mental health internationally.

The successful candidate may be required to undertake a DBS check.
