Safeguarding

The word ‘Safeguarding’ in the United Kingdom and Ireland denotes measures to protect the health, well-being and human rights of individuals, which allow people — especially children, young people and vulnerable adults — to live free from abuse, harm and neglect.

As an organisation that works closely with vulnerable groups and people with mental illness, we take seriously our obligation to work in a way that ensures, as far is possible, that our work does not harm anyone that we engage with.

We’ve developed this safeguarding policy to enable us to work in a way that prevents harm and to ensure we have a clear process in place to handle safeguarding incidents and/or complaints.
