SW Retired and Resting Psychiatrists Event January 2023

Event Information

Each year, we run a programme of courses aimed specifically at retired and resting psychiatrists. We're delighted to confirm that our event in January 2023 will be held in-person at the new South West Division Office, at the Hive in Weston-Super-Mare, and we have put together a programme that will feature talks from retired doctors across the south west along with an open session on revalidation at the end of the day.

The day will also include a discussion about the network of clinical advisors we are developing in relation to the Your College – South West initiative.

This venue is fully accessible.

By car

From M5 J21, take the A370 towards Weston-super-Mare. Continue straight across the first roundabout. At the second roundabout, take the first exit A371 to Banwell. Then take the third exit off the next roundabout (signposted Weston Business Quarter). The Hive is located on Beaufighter Road, just after the Landing Light pub. Free parking is available.

By cycle or foot

Local foot and cycle paths are connected to National Cycle Route 33.

By bus

The 126 service that runs from central Weston-super-Mare (Regent Street) to Wells via Locking stops outside the Helicopter Museum. The museum is a 5 - 10 minute walk from The Hive.

By train

The nearest train stations are Worle Parkway station, Weston Milton station and Weston-super-Mare station.

If you have any special requirements such as large print, induction loop, or special dietary requirements please email southwest@rcpsych.ac.uk at least two weeks before the event date to allow time for us to try and assist you.
