The QED Special Interest Day is taking place on Thursday 20 October 2026.
This year’s event will focus on physical health monitoring and management across inpatient and community eating disorder services

Fee: Free for members of the QED/QNIC networks, £85 for non-members.
QED Special Interest Day Abstract Application
We encourage submissions that explore the assessment, monitoring and management of physical health in an eating disorder setting, as well as research, service developments, and quality improvement initiatives. Topics may include (but are not limited to): bone health, diabetes and eating disorders, exercise and physical activity, the biological impact of malnutrition, medical risk monitoring, and the management of physical health complications. We welcome contributions from all professional groups and service settings.
Each presentation will be approximately 30–40 minutes long following 10 minutes for questions.
The deadline for applications is Friday 4 September at 9am. If you would like extra time, feel free to still register and let us know in the application that you would like to add extra information which you can then email to us later on.

*We may close the application earlier dependent on the number of applications we receive. We encourage you to submit early to avoid disappointment. We will respond to all applications after the deadline.

The QED team are holding accreditation training sessions up to three times a year. Our sessions usually take place via MS Teams.
The next training session is taking place on Tuesday 22 September 2026 from 9.30 - 11.30am via MS Teams.

This training will cover what an accreditation is, how to prepare for it as a service being reviewed, and how to prepare for it as a reviewer. If you would like to learn more about the accreditation process or if you would like to join one of our accreditation reviews as a reviewer, then please sign up! Spaces are limited on this training session so sign up soon.
