QNWA news and events
We run online peer-reviewer training via Microsoft Teams every two months.
The training is free and open to all staff working in QNWA members services, including consultants and specialist registrars (SpR), registered mental health nurses, ward managers/leads, support workers, and the wider MDT. Psychiatrists who are interested in becoming CCQI peer-reviewers but do not work in a QNWA member service can also attend for free.
Once trained you will have to opportunity to visit acute inpatient mental health wards around the UK as part of a peer-review team. This is an excellent opportunity for professional development, to contribute to the peer-review process, and to facilitate networking and the sharing of best practice.
If you are interested in becoming a peer-reviewer, please contact QNWA@rcpsych.ac.uk and we can let you know when the next training session is happening. We can also offer bitesize training sessions for small groups or 1:1.
Our Being a QNWA peer-reviewer poster outlines the benefits of becoming a peer-reviewer, for example having the opportunity to visit other acute inpatient wards and share best practice and QI ideas.
CPD points are available for attending QNWA peer-reviewer training.
