News and events

We run online peer-reviewer training via Microsoft Teams every two months.

The training is free and open to all staff working in QNWA members services, including consultants and specialist registrars (SpR), registered mental health nurses, ward managers/leads, support workers and the wider MDT. Psychiatrists who are interested in becoming CCQI peer-reviewers but do not work in a QNWA member service can also attend for free.

Once trained you will have to opportunity to visit acute inpatient mental health wards around the UK as part of a peer-review team. This is an excellent opportunity for professional development, to contribute to the peer-review process and to facilitate networking and the sharing of best practice.

If you are interested in becoming a peer-reviewer, please contact the QNWA project team who will let you know when the next training session is happening and how to register.

Please note, we can also offer bitesize training for small groups of at least 3 professionals, on the basis that you will be signing up to attend a peer-review but are unable to attend the peer-reviewer training session prior to this.

Our next Annual Forum will be taking place in September 2023, further information to follow.
