Submit a job description

Use this portal to submit your new RCPsych job description (JD) for approval.

Important information

  • Please only click the submit button once and allow 10-15 seconds for your receipt email to come through.
  • Please use a .docx file format with short filenames for your uploads.
  • The total size of all attachments must not exceed 10 MB.
  • Please email the JD approvals team for large attachments which can't be reduced in size.
  • Our thorough approval process takes 30 working days from submission of each version. This is a guide and depends on the availability of the College members who undertake the reviews.

This portal is for the submission of all new JDs requiring approval in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. JDs that have already been reviewed and need amending should be emailed to your allocated JD team.

Please access our guidance platform to assist you complete this form and submit your JD.

If your employer name is not listed on the dropdown (or if the name has changed) please email us. Upon successful submission, you will receive an email confirmation summarising the information you provided plus advising your JD ID number. If you do not receive this or have any queries please contact the JD Co-ordinator.
