Today, His Majesty the King announced the 2024 New Year Honours list and we are delighted that one of our members in Scotland have been recognised for their contributions to psychiatry and mental health.
Professor Bienvenido Arturo Langa Ferreira, consultant psychiatrist at NHS Lanarkshire was recognised for his services to vulnerable people in Scotland.
Arturo has had a career that spans 30 years of public services in the NHS and includes working at a senior management executive level, both chairing, and being a member of a variety of leadership committees.
Additionally, Arturo sits on the Court of Queen Margaret University as well as being a visiting Professor at the University of the Highlands and Islands.
