This report yet again highlights the shocking state of mental health services for young people. Care leavers are a highly vulnerable group, many of whom will have been through highly stressful life experiences. It is an indictment of our society that these young people cannot access the support they so desperately need. We would urge the government and commissioners to respond to this report and ensure there is adequate funding and resources to care for these young people at such a critical time of their lives.
