RCPsych appoints new Chief Examiner

The Royal College of Psychiatrists has appointed a new Chief Examiner who will take up the role in July 2019.

Dr Ian Hall is currently an Associate Dean at RCPsych and comes to the role with extensive leadership and postgraduate educational experience at a national level. 

Dr Kate Lovett, the College Dean said: "Ian has a proven track record in delivering excellence in medical education coupled with a clear strategic vision to maintain the MRCPsych’s pivotal role in setting standards for patient care.

"He will help lead development of the international strategy, digitisation of the exam and ensure the MRCPsych adapts to fit new curriculum developments."

Dr Hall will replace Dr Peter Bowie.
