Events

We run an annual conference about psychological therapy services each year in November. We also hold two peer reviewer training days for APPTS members per year.

The 9th Annual Forum for Psychological Therapies Services will be taking place online on Tuesday 5 December 2023!

Our Annual Forum is a great opportunity to bring psychological therapies services together for a day of sharing ideas, learning and good practice. There will also be an update on our findings from the peer reviews of psychological therapies services that have taken place recently on APPTS.

This year's programme includes a fantastic range of speakers including Adrian Whittington and Steve Pilling (amongst many others!) covering themes such as therapist wellbeing, accessibility to services, menopause and treating long-term conditions.

For a full overview of the day, please see our event programme.

Details of the event are as follows:

Date: Tuesday 5 December 2023

Time: 10am - 3:30pm

Description

This training session will qualify you to become professional APPTS peer reviewers and visit other therapy services across the UK.

It will prepare you for the role of peer-reviewer, and build skills in group facilitation and delivery.

Once qualified, attending reviews is a great membership benefit for staff and managers, as you will:

  • gain useful experience and knowledge of how therapy services are managed and run
  • network with other services and share good practice
  • develop deeper insight into how services are experienced by staff and service users.

Training dates

The Accreditation Programme for Psychological Therapies Services (APPTS) will host its next Special Interest Day on the theme of 'trauma-informed care' in Spring 2024.

More information on the event will be shared soon.
