RCPsych Wales chair joins Royal College Chairs in Wales in writing open letter to the medical profession

RCPsych Chair, Dr Maria Atkins, has joined fellow Royal College Chairs in Wales in writing an open letter to the medical professions addressing the findings of the Working Party on Sexual Misconduct in Surgery.

The letter highlights that misogyny is still commonplace in medicine and calls for urgent measures to support the prevention and ensure robust investigation of sexual misconduct in healthcare. This includes a national implementation panel and the reform of reporting and investigation processes and other measures outlined in the GMC good medical practice principles.
